Hummingbird Feeders: These specialized nectar feeders are designed specifically for hummingbirds. They use nectar made of 4 parts water to 1 part white sugar. Hummingbird feeders can be hung very near the house or deck for fascinating watching. We also have nectar feeders designed for orioles.

Tube Feeders:  These are hollow tubes which come in many sizes with multiple perches for small birds. They attract finches, chickadees, titmice, etc. If you have squirrels in the area, you should consider adding a baffle on top to discourage them.

Hopper Feeders (house feeders): These attractive feeders hold larger quantities of seed and attract small birds as well as larger birds such as jays.  Many have removable metal trays and drain water.

Platform Feeders: These are used to attract ground feeding birds such as doves, sparrows, juncos and quail, but of course many other birds will also be attracted (squirrels too!). Since they have no protection from the weather, be sure the feeder has drainage holes.

Suet Feeders and Suet Cakes: Woodpeckers and cardinals love these! Find a large assortment of suet cakes which birds love.

Squirrel Proof Feeders: Many feeders come with a protective cage or baffle to keep squirrels out and let the birds in. This is very helpful in areas with lots of squirrels.

Window Feeders: Having a bird feeder suction cupped to the window makes birdwatching up close and personal. 

Thistle Feeders: These are designed to hold Nyjer seed and attract all kinds of finches, as well as siskins and redpolls.
